Over the last few years thousands of songs have been birthed. New friendships have been formed. The community have cajoled, critiqued and comforted each other. Songs have crossed continents to be sung in churches in the most unlikely places. And so many of us have grown as songwriters and in our commitment to Jesus Christ.

How Does It Work?
Every month we’ll set a new challenge: a theme, a style, a Bible passage or something else, to get you writing songs for your church.
Then we take it on together and see what happens. You share your attempts with the rest of the community and get feedback and encouragement in Songclub, our online platform.
We'll reflect and share on the monthly Resound Worship Songwriting Podcast, usually picking out a handful of songs from the community to feature. We'll also include expert interviews, plus input and discussion on the different themes.
There’s no pressure to finish anything or to reach perfection. We just commit to each having a go every month.

How much does it cost?
You get access to everything you need for just £49.99 for the full year*, or £4.99 per month**.
As a charity, we’re committed to making our activities affordable for people on low incomes. We’ve kept costs as low as we can for everyone, but anyone who needs it can register for the full year at the much-reduced price of £15.
Help us grow. The 12 Song Challenge is run by Resound Worship, a charitable ministry. Your subscription keeps the challenge running, and we keep it as affordable as we possibly can. But to develop and grow our work with songwriters and churches, we rely on gifts. When you sign up you’ll have the chance to add a donation to support us.
* The annual fee is fully refundable if you cancel within 50 days of the challenge starting on 1st January, or within 50 days of signing up if that’s later.
** You can cancel the monthly plan at any time and keep your membership until your next payment would have been due. If you sign up before the challenge begins, your first payment is taken on 1st January.

We try not to have too many rules in this Challenge, it is a relaxed, organic thing. But there is one very important rule:
Songs are shared safely and ideas are offered freely. This is how we always do things at Resound. You post a song, it remains yours. Someone offers you an idea or a suggestion, and it’s still your song. You do the same for others, and we all contribute freely to make these the best songs they can be.

Class of 2027 Yearbook
& Finishers' Reward
This year’s Yearbook is a memento of the people in the challenge: a page for each of us, with a photo, a few words and some favourite moments from the year. Everyone who takes part will be invited to be in it, and everyone gets a PDF copy.
The Finishers' Reward
If you’d like a goal to aim for, add the Finishers' Reward when you sign up (£12, plus postage outside the UK). Complete the challenge and you’ll receive a printed copy of the Class of 2027 Yearbook and a limited-edition 2027 mug. If you don't make it, you still get the printed yearbook.
To complete the challenge, all you have to do is:
- write and post one new song attempt every month
- give constructive feedback to at least three other writers every month
You can catch up at any time during the year. It really is as easy as that.
